Your orchestra comes in a ZIP. Download the source, open it locally, and make your first piece. Python 3.10+ required; MIT licensed.

Prefer to direct? Give it to your agent. The prompt includes this download and the composition skill, so your agent can handle setup and rendering.

Install it locally

Extract the ZIP, then open a terminal in the folder containing pyproject.toml. With uv:

shell
cd audio-as-code
uv sync --locked
uv run aac demo -o output/song.json
uv run aac render output/song.json -o output/song.wav --report output/report.json

Prefer pip? In the same source folder, install into your Python environment:

shell
python -m pip install -e .
aac instruments

Open output/song.wav to hear your first render. Then follow the quickstart to write your own score.
